Five Users Guides can be found in the update wording below.

Year to Year
Please click on, print and read the 1-Yr to Yr Transition and 2-Yr to Yr Functions users guide. They will assist as you update your LEAMIS for FY 2011. After you get your EOY 2010 verifications cleared, please remember to contact Mason and request the "KEY" referenced in the guides.

Start-Up
This start-up change to the District Profile will be of particular interest to data clerks in 305, 328, 336, 442 and 616.  Added auto-convert routine to consolidate entries in the District Profile.  USDs 328 and 354 combine to form 112 - Central Plains; 441 and 488 become 113 - Prairie Hills; 406 and 486 become 114 - Riverside.  Note that 328 and 354 were originally in different coops - USD328 in coop 305, USD354 in coop 428.  Note also that 441 and 488 were originally in different coops - USD441 in coop 336, USD 488 in coop 442.  For the new USD 112 (old 328,354) the coop will be set to 305 if LEAMIS installed for coop 305, the coop will be set to 428 if LEAMIS installed for coop 428, and the coop field will be left blank for all other coops who install LEAMIS.  For the new USD 113 (old 441,488) the coop will be set to 336 if LEAMIS installed for coop 336, the coop will be set to 442 if LEAMIS installed for coop 442, and the coop field will be left blank for all other coops who install LEAMIS.  The pair 406,486 have the same coop 616 for new district 114.

Data Entry
Fixed error on FYVerify page.  If a serviceline field was modified on the FYVerify page and then the Verification button was clicked, the serviceline field would revert to its original value before the modification.   Fixed error on Serviceline entry page.  When verifications were run from this page, they were not being noted in the Serviceline Verifications box.  This has been fixed.  Now, verifications run from MISpg2, FYVerify page, and Serviceline Entry page will all agree.

Modified the New_MIS routine to try to handle inactive students who return to active status.  When a student is moved from inactive to active and they have a new IEP, it is essential that a new MIS record be created for the new IEP.  This will allow the Annual Status to be set to the proper Annual Status.  When a new MIS record is created, if the previous most recent record was inactive, then the Status and Exit Date are cleared.  If that previous most recent record did not have services in the current year, then the Annual Status is also cleared.  If the previous most recent record was an active record, then no change - neither in the code, nor in user actions.

Import/Export
Modified the Export KIDS Collection File for obtaining KIDS IDs.  Changed version number to "6.0" in header.  Added new (blank) field number 87 to detail record.

Added new export to the Import/Export menu item: Export Medicaid for KHPA MER.  This export item is available only from the splash screen.  User can specify the FY for which to do export. Students searched will be all students (active, inactive, archived).  3-Click here to view  a users guide.

State Performance Plan
Indicator 7:  Modified the Ind 7 OWS Exit report.  Changed FY2009 references to 2010.  Changed FY2010 references to 2011.  Modified information dialog at start of OWS Exit report to increment FYs so the message now reads "It is essential that students who were in Preschool during FY2010 and are in Kindergarten during FY2011 be promoted before running the Ind 7 OWS Exit Report."
4-Click here to view an updated Indicator 7 users guide.

Indicator 11:  Modified the entry form for Ind11 - Random sample for FY2011.  This form does not have any radio buttons or text boxes for reason late.  Instead, it has a message that the reasons will be added in a later version of LEAMIS.  This was done to allow districts the option to enter and track their Initial Evaluations from the beginning of the FY 2011 school year.  The FY 2010 Indicator 11 data can still be accessed by setting the Fiscal Year in LEAMIS to 2010.

Indicator 12:  Modified the Indicator 12 Part C to Part B list, entry and print layouts.  Added auto-convert routine to clear all existing records from the Ind12 table.  5-Click here to view an updated Indicator 12 users guide.

On a related topic, Mason Vosburgh sent an email on Wednesday July 14, 2010 to all data clerks containing an FY 2011 Temporary Building Profile. Please import the Temporary Building Profile if you have not already imported it or updated your Building Profile.
