New In These Two Versions...
Changes in Version 2009.2
One of the items on the list below have a Users Guides.
Start-Up
Auto-convert code added to run at initial startup to search the Building Profile for Buildings in Use where the Calendar field contains a Building number or is designated as a PreSchool Calendar. LEAMIS then checks the School Calendar to make sure the Calendar Start Date and End Date have been correctly populated in the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Servicelines for these Attendance Buildings. If the Serviceline Begin and/or End Date was auto-entered and needs to be changed to what is in the Calendar Start Date or End Date, LEAMIS will update the Serviceline Begin Date and/or End Date.
Data Entry
State Assessments data entry page updated. State Assessments reports combined into one report.
Reports
Added Ind 5 Report to the list of reports on the OSEP Tables page. Click here for users guide.
If you missed a previous update, don't be concerned. All of the features in previous versions will be automatically included when you update to this version.
Changes in Version 2009.1
Two of the items on the list below have a Users Guides.
Building Profile
Added new field to the FY detail of the Building Profile: SRSJJA Facility. Modified building screen by adding new field. Added new field to Building Find.
Data Entry
New Help Files folder will be copied into your LEAMIS folder when you do your update to FY 2009.1. To update the Help Files, select Import Help Content from the Utilities menu. Updating Help Files is part of process of updating LEAMIS data from one school year to another. To learn more about updating LEAMIS data from one year to another, click here.
Added "Age Today" as a search field to the Find Students layout.
Added Amended_IEP as a new OPTIONAL field to the MIS screen. This was done at the request of one of the data clerks as a way to keep track of IEPs that have been amended. This field is not being collected by KSDE. It is not required that you enter data in it. Amended_IEP was added field to the reports, the LEAMIS-to-LEAMIS import/export and the General Export.
Import-Export
Modified the way Annual Status is set for imported records (General import, WebKIDSS import, StateMIS import). Previously, the annual status was set to the status of the last MIS record imported in all three of these imports. Now, after a new MIS record is imported, if that new MIS record is a) for the current FY and b) the IEP date is earlier than any existing IEP date for the current year, then the annual status will be set to the status of that import MIS record. Then, there will be a check using the Status matrix to see if the status in the most recent MIS record for the FY can override the new annual status set by the import record (e.g., status "C" in most recent MIS record would replace annual status of "K" or "Q" set by the import record, etc.).
Modified the export of KIDS Collection file for obtaining KIDS IDs. Changed version in header to "4.0" (FY2008 version number was "3.0"). Changed length of detail record to 85 fields. (FY2008 version had only 84 fields.)
Modified the "KANDIS" export. Removed Exit Date from output. Added initial record of column labels. New export order is
1-KIDS ID
2-Responsible LEA
3-Responsible Building Number
4-Effective Start Date
5-Effective End Date
