New In Previous Version [2008.7]...

Two of the items on the list below have a Users Guides.

Data Entry

Added Attendance Building Identifier to the Serviceline entry layout.
Modified all building entry dialogs to display the building identifier in the list of buildings.
Added FTE for the Current MIS record to the data entry layouts.  FTE is total amount of FTE calculated for each Serviceline.  It is calculated and displayed for most recent MIS record only.  Serviceline FTE is recalculated when building, setting, mins, days, weeks, start date, end date is changed.  FTE is recalculated when a Serviceline FTE, DOB, Grade, KG All Day changes.  If FY in the preferences is changed, then Serviceline FTEs and SPED FTE is recalculated.  FTEs will be calculated when new version installed. Click here for more on how the FTE is calculated.

Import-Export

Modified the Exit Log Export to not export out fund 5 records.
Added a Export Log button to the Import Export dialog.  The Export Log will keep track of exports from LEAMIS.  It can be viewed from the Import-Export Dialog under the Utilities menu.  Export log records are currently written for 4 exports: State MIS Export, State Catastrophic Aid Data Export, State Discipline Data Export, and the State Contract Data Export.  It also displays the count of Funding code is 1 or 2 Graduates, Withdraws, and Dropouts with an Exit date in the most recent MIS record.  Will count as Graduate if status is G, will count as Withdrawal if status is W, and will count as Dropout if status is D, H, or U.  Status is from the most recent MIS record (regular status - not annual status).
Added a KAN-DIS Admin Export button.  Click here for the KAN-DIS Users Guide.

Reports

Modified the OSEP Reports "Create Table 1 and Table 3" report item.  Previously, the reports always calculated the reports as of the current date.  LEAMIS now allows you to set the date when the calculations should be performed.  This allows you to calculate LRE for a Dec 1 Count from a previous year.  The results will not be identical to the results you would get on Dec 1 because some of the serviceline data may different if you changed the Minutes or Days of service since the Dec 1 Count.   However, it should be very close to the same.  The reports now search for and can include data from Servicelines in Active, InActive and Archived records.
Added Fed Environment IDEA04 Pct and Fed Placement IDEA97 Pct to the OSEP tables 1 & 3 exports.

Verifications

Added new verification: INC - incarceration.  Will get this verification if the following conditions are true.
a) student has servicelines with settings of I or Y.
b) student has servicelines with settings other than I,Y,S,X or T.
c) dates of service for servicelines in a) overlap with dates of service for servicelines in b).
Modified the Find Stus with Gap in Service.  If there was an exit, then do not consider the time between the exit and start of new services as a gap. This will solve problem of artificial gaps created by the split of Gifted and exiting disability.
Modified the EN# verification.  EN# will not be given for serviceline End date after IEP date of next IEP when the following condition is met:  next MIS record has the same IEP date as the current MIS record whose servicelines are being checked.  This condition will occur when the Split GI and Exiting Disability procedure is run and the same IEP date is used for the new GI only MIS record.
Added checking for valid date in the header record of a Building Profile being imported.  If invalid date, then cancel import.
Modified the "INT" verification.  If building has settings of only H, then do not check.
Modified the "KTX" verification.  If student has K-time (setting=K) services in a building with a different calendar that the building where the student receives other services, and the start and end date of all services are identical, but because of calendar differences, the K-time number of weeks is greater than the number of weeks for the non-K servicelines, then use the number of weeks from the non-K services in place of the K services weeks.
Modified the Verification button so that verifications for old MIS records (no servicelines in current FY and IEP date not in current FY) are blanked out. Now only verifications for the current FY will be displayed.
Modified the error checking and error message when entering/changing KIDS ID during Student data entry.  Will now specify where student is when reporting duplicate KIDS ID message:  Active Students, In-active Students, or Archived Students.
Added "L" setting to the list of acceptable settings when doing JA# verification.
Modified the label on "PS Bldg Mins" in the Building Profile detail entry layout to be "Total PS Mins/Day".  Modified labels on list to be "PS M/Da".
Added Collection period to the FY at the top of MIS entry pages.
Added FY and Collection period to MIS pg2 just above the servicelines.
