MIS Fall 2011 Workshops
Workshop Information
- All attendees must register for a workshop.
- Registering for a Spring Kan_Service Training will not register you for a Fall MIS 2011 Workshop. Registering for a Fall MIS 2011 Workshop will not register you for Spring Kan_Service Training. You must register for them separately.
- Seating is limited for the workshops. Registrations will close at some locations sooner than others because all of the seats have been filled. The MIS Data Clerk, Special Ed Administrators, IEP Coordinators or School Psychologists attending as the SPP Rubric Administrator are awarded preferential seating on a First Come-First Served basis.
- The Data Clerk from each LEA must attend a Fall 2011 Workshop in order to be awarded the Clerk Training Participation points on the Kansas District Scoring Rubric SPP Indicator 20- Timely and Accurate Data. Backup Data Clerks are not required to attend in order to be awarded the points. Backup Data Clerks are welcome to attend. The Data Clerk will be allowed to register if the Special Education Administrator, IEP Coordinator and School Psychologist does not register for a Fall 2011 workshop.
- In order to be awarded the Administrator Training Participation
points on the Kansas District Scoring Rubric SPP Indicator 20-
Timely and Accurate Data, a Special Education Administrator, IEP Coordinator or School
Psychologist must either attend the Leadership Preconference MIS Session for Administrators or one of these Fall 2011 Workshops.
- EACH WORKSHOP PARTICIPANT MUST BRING A COPY OF THE 2011-2012 DATA DICTIONARY. After is is published, the Data Dictionary will be available from the Special Education Services Team MIS Section at www.ksde.org.
Workshop Description
The KSDE Special Education Services Team Data Manager will present information regarding the Data Dictionary Field Definitions, Verifications and Data Submission Schedule.
The Keystone Learning Services IDMSS project staff will present information on using LEAMIS to collect and report data related to the Annual Performance Report.

The workshops are not being held in computer labs. Some people find Meeting Rooms to be much cooler than they are accustomed to working in. Please dress in anticipation of a much cooler room or bring a jacket/sweater.

Workshop Registration
|
The Workshop registration fee is $45.00 per person. Each workshop participant's agency will be billed for the registration fees by Keystone Learning Services.
The registration fee includes lunch and breaks.
Registrations cancelled 14 or more days prior to the workshop will not be billed for the registration fee. Registrations cancelled during the 13 days before to the workshop will be billed the $45.00 registration fee. Registrants who do not attend the workshop and do not cancel their registration 13 days before the workshop will be billed the $45.00 registration fee.
The MIS Data Clerk, Special Ed Administrators, IEP Coordinators or School Psychologists attending as the SPP Indicator 20 Rubric Administrator are awarded preferential seating on a First Come-First Served basis. Availability subject to change.

The website and email confirmations incorrectly say the Lawrence workshop will be held on August 12. The Lawrence workshop will be held on August 11. We are working to correct this incorrect date.

The KSDE SES Team would like all MIS Data Clerks who will not be attending either the Fall 2011 MIS Workshop in Wichita, Lawrence or Hays to indicate they will not be attending a workshop prior to the scheduled dates. This request applies to the person(s) who is designated as the MIS Data Clerk for an Agency. Backup MIS Data Clerks who are not attending are not being asked to notify the SES of their intended non-attendance.
MIS Data Clerks who are not attending a Fall 2011 Workshop are asked to notify the KSDE SES Team by using the Fall Non-Attendee system. Please click on the gray Non-Attendee button above and supply the requested information.
If you are going to attend a workshop, please do not click on the Non-Attendee button.
If you have already indicated you are not attending a workshop and wish to attend a workshop, register for the workshop you wish to attend.
